Gunthers or bust - our final foodie item of the week

We ate lots of yummy things this week with Barbara, and our final outing before taking her to the airport was ice cream at Gunthers...although I think Eva ate most of Barb's cone. Including deciding she wanted to eat the sugar cone part before the ice cream scoop was gone - she just angled her little head and took a chomp out of the side!

We had a lovely low key week with Barbara and are sad to see her go back to her new home state of Virginia.

Monopoly, a trip to Pleasanton, bunk bed acquisition, baby naps, swinging outside, lots of laundry, playing card games, and just simple time together made the week fly by.

Project Bunk Bed is Complete!

Cora is now the proud owner and occupant of a bunk bed!

She has saved for several years to purchase the bed itself and it was obtained and assembled this week. Tonight is her first night sleeping on it, on the eve of 1st grade. So far so good!

Future tycoon's first game of Monopoly

Cora enjoyed coming in 2nd in her first game of Monopoly - Daddy bankrupted Mommy first and Cora was a sweetheart who wanted to bail Mama out.

It was a fun family game night - I'm happy and excited that the complexity of games Cora can play is exceeding Go Fish and Candy Land ;)

Operation Big Girl Bed - Step 1

At six and three quarters Cora is finally out of her crib mattress/toddler bed and onto a twin mattress. Step one today was getting that mattress and moving the room around. Step 2 is getting the bunk bed that Cora had dreamed of and saved for!

Visit with Papa

Terry drove through Sac on his way North to go fishing and back and got a little family time in each way. The girls loved having him here!
