FairyTale Town

So not only are we within walking distance of the Sacramento Zoo, but also FairyTale Town. They had a free weekend so we went to check it out. Our concensus was that Cora isn't quite old enough to fully utilize it yet, a realization that was sped up when she practically tumbled down a steep twisty slide (luckily daddy caught her halfway down).

So while a lot of it was too big for her, there were a few favorites that we caught on film, taken on 2 consecutive  days.

The Crooked Mile

Driving the Red Tractor

That's a big piece of cheese!

The Cheese Stands Alone

Going down the Jack and the Beanstalk slide

And wrapping up the day with a quick visit to the zoo and the carousel
And then our second  visit to the land of fairies and gnomes...

The Crooked Mile
The Billy Goat's Gruff

Sliding down Jack and Jill's Hill

Ooh! Big cheese!

"walk, walk, walk, walk, walk"

Riding the horse's that pull Cinderella's carriage

And back to the goats...

Back to the desert

We headed back to Tucson to visit friends and relive our time there. Going back on vacation to a placed you lived makes for an easy, fun, trip - you know where you want to eat, what things you want to go see, and where to find things like a Trader Joes for toddler snacks.

We also were able to see several dear friends and overall had a great visit making us miss Tucson even more!

Our home base for the trip was the Arizona Inn, where we had "staycationed" a couple time before.

Along Pantano Wash, right next to where we lived

A storm was moving in, you can see the clouds in the distance. Later that night  a major monsoon moved in giving us quite a show.
