3 months 4 days

At 3 months and 4 days Cora weighed 11 pounds 4.8 ounces - not quite doubled in weight. And she's 23.25 inches long!

Cora's first interstate trip

Cora took her first trip to California when she was just shy of 3 months. We missed taking any pictures on the trip there, but on the way back to Arizona we captured her intense interest in the airplane.

She slept most of the trip back to Arizona, but we did wake her up when the plane landed and she looked around soaking it all up.

Crazy hair day! And the many faces of Cora

One morning in California when Cora woke up her hair was just all curly and crazy - and so cute I had to take some pictures!

Cora is very happy and expressive in the morning - this is just a sampling of the faces she made in the 10 minutes I was taking pictures :)

And we're almost 3 months old - tomorrow will be her 3 month "birthday". How much she's grown!

Happy Birthday Tony!

It's Tony's 32nd birthday!  I may have lit the wrong end of the special, snazzy candles causing them to A) be difficult to light (that should have been my first clue) and B) they sputtered and sparked once lit...oh well - he still had something to blow out!  And his favorite black bottom cupcakes for dessert. :)

 

Cora was even going to help blow them out. 
 

And then she'd worked so hard she had to go to sleep in daddy's arms.What a nice snuggle for daddy's birthday!

Happy Valentines Day!

It's Cora's first Valentines Day!  So we dressed up in a snazzy pink and red outfit to celebrate!

What an amazing baby!

So I'm just so excited! Cora did multiple new things in one night:

1.  She went to sleep by herself : we fed her, changed her, put her in the mini-crib with the starlight turtle and white noise machine on, Tony gave her a bottle and then he left. And she went to sleep by herself! She babbled a little and then got quieter and quieter till she was asleep. With zero crying!

2. And then she slept 8 hours! Yeah! And when she woke up she started talking, no crying. Once I was sure she was really awake I got her up and she's had a great happy morning.

I'm sure that this combo will not be relived anytime soon, but this morning I am just so proud of her!  What a good baby!
