A Family Easter

Since Tony had to work on Monday, we did an early lunch with our families on Easter Sunday. Cora enjoyed all the attention and delicious goodies that grandparents happily feed her.

Exploring the Outfield

The local minor league baseball stadium, Raley Field, hosts a "mommy and me" day for kids to get to explore the field with activities, the RiverCats mascot, bounce houses, etc. Really what that meant for Cora was running around the grass chasing balls and watching the other kids.  We had a nice day and Cora was a busy bee.

The beginning of her ball collecting for the day - we were there early so there wasn't a lot of competition to start with

Two balls mom!

Ooh!  A bigger ball!

Which one do I want now?

Following the giant 5 foot ball, while mom made sure she didn't get run over by it

Cora liked the cones to be upright, so we went around setting a bunch up

Task completed. On to the next one.

Another one down!

I'll get it up!

Safe!

She loves to move, she loves to groove...

Almost as hard to capture on film as the dancing peacock! Here's one of Cora's dance moves (she has a few more, but we were lucky to get one on camera).

Daffodil Hill

Daffodil Hill is a working ranch that has devoted 4 acres to daffodils, it's a little over an hour from Sac, but a lovely drive . We took a picnic lunch, had a walk, and enjoyed the beautiful  weather seeing the flowers.

See the peacock in the back left-ish?

Egg-Hunting We Will Go!

Very ladylike in a green and white seersucker dress with a pintucked front, and matching ha

Waiting for the egg hunt to start - so much to see!

You can see the 0-1 egg hunt section behind Cora

And we're off! This is the 1st of a three photo time lapse sequence of her picking up one of the first eggs

Cora liked to help other little ones collect eggs

Another egg hunter she was sharing with

The only downside to the day was on the walk home Cora took a spill on the sidewalk and got her first real honest to goodness skinned knee.  Poor baby!
