At 15 months Cora:
- has her eight front teeth, with 2 molars partially cut through and 2 more about to
- is nearly 29 inches tall (grown nearly an inch in 3 months)
- can go up and down stairs by herself successfully (most of the time)
- likes to carry her baby doll around, and will cover it up with a small blankie
- can blow and/or give kisses
- can stack blocks and put things back "in", and understands "under" and will crawl or reach underneath things to reach toys
- likes to play pretend with little dishes that she's brought us "food", we taste it, she tastes it, etc.
- says mama and dada when she wants something, but besides that communicates by pointing
We've also been working on using silverware, with mixed results. Today, however, we had a monumental breakthrough -- Cora was sitting at the table and motivated by a bowl of applesauce, she picked up a spoon and proceeded to feed herself. And she's a switch hitter - after we finished taking the video she switched to using her left hand. (press play below to see the video):
